Blade of Ash by C.F.E Black. ARC Book Review.

I received an advanced readers copy of this from the author through BookSirens.com. The Plot The narrative is a YA love story about enemies to lovers trope. To be honest, the trope swayed my decision to read this arc. The story follows Red, also known as Prince Frederick, as he ascends to the throne after his father’s untimely death. Then there’s Aly who was the Master Sorcerer to Reds Father and Red holds his father’s Master Sorcerer responsible for his father’s death. Despite Red’s obvious hatred towards her; Aly is determined to defend the new king and ensure his survival. Now Red is also cursed and both supposed enemies are…

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. Book Review.

The silent patient is a debut thriller novel by the author. It took me quite a white to finish this book and to finally write a review on it. About the book There are two protagonist in this story Alicia who is deemed a psychiatric patient after the death of her husband Gabriel and the second protagonist is Theo who is her therapist. From the very beginning the mystery is why Alicia murdered her husband and Theo’s infatuation with this mystery. As a thriller the author does a great job of weaving mystified characters and backstory. Both Theo and Alicia’s pasts play an important role in their journey. My favourite…

What things all good book reviews have?

This is a question that every reviewer and reader thinks about. For me there are certain points and do’s and don’ts that I look for before reading a review or keep in mind while writing a review. I’ve listed all of the factors I consider before writing a review here. 1. A Spoiler free Review I simply hate reading something important about a book by accident while reading a review. I always look for reviewers who don’t have a habit of including spoilers in their reviews. In my reviews, I try not to mention anything significant about the stories, even if it is something I enjoyed about the book. My…

Unfinished a Memoir by Priyanka Chopra Jonas

First and foremost, I don’t usually read biographies of actors since they don’t interest me; but, this biography was given to me as part of an Instagram giveaway from The Bookworm. A fantastic bookselling account with a fantastic book collection and reasonable rates. Unfinished a Memoir If there is anyone in the entertainment industry who fascinated me enough to read their biography book, it is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Her career is very interesting; After reading her memoir, she certainly inspires us with her hard work and ambition. You get the distinct impression that the book was written by her and that it is written in her voice. Moreover some of…

    NAIYA’S WISH BY V J ASTRID| Book Review.

I received an Arc of this fantasy read by The book scenes tour. The Plot I had no idea this book was part of a series when I got it, but the author did an incredible job of producing a complex and well-written novel that felt like a standalone, which I greatly appreciated. The storey was delivered from the perspectives of three female characters. Naiya is a water nymph that dwells near a mill in a pond. Hilda is the miller’s wife, and Amina is the baker’s youngest daughter. This story is about these three females, and we learn a lot about them because to the author’s excellent writing. This story…

I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan and I’ve read all of her books. This book can be read as a standalone but it is a book 2 in River Rain series. The Story & Characters Chasing Serenity is a story about grief, family, and relationships, as well as multi-layered secrets and lies, acceptance and understanding. Kristen Ashley gradually reveals the family histories of both Chloe and Judge, allowing us to see a pattern that has affected everyone in the long term. The book explored the impact of death, divorce, and suicide. Chasing Serenity is rife with conflict, misplaced pain and grief, sibling rivalry, internal struggles and love. Chloe Pierce…
