A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

I realise I’m a little late to the ACTOR party, but I’ve finally done it, I’ve dived into the wonderful realm of Faeries. I’m planning to write a separate blog for each of the volumes, so this will be the first in a series of ACOTOR blogs. The Story Feyre, a young girl and huntress, is abducted and brought across a centuries-old border to live eternally in the fairy kingdom of Prythian after she murders a faerie in A Court of Thorns and Roses. Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo.

Leigh Bardugo’s The Six Crows is a duology based on the Grishaverese. I stayed up way too late to complete this book because it kept me on my toes the entire time I…

The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black.

I see why The Cruel Prince has gotten so much attention. It’s a truly amazing story. From the outset, there was something about the language, the universe the author builds, and the entire mood of the book that couldn’t help but captivate me. I have yet to read the next two books in the series, but I am eager to start them and write a complete series review as soon as possible. I can see why there’s so much fuss. Call me a geek for arriving late to the party, but this book is fantastic. What’s the story about? When Jude’s parents were slain, she and her two sisters were…
